I'm in Ridgecrest and this is our room...see anything that is missing?

Well, I'm officially that man...

Mark it on your calendars, I'm now old.  While walking to take the trash out, the neighbors child on a razor or scooter or something, came whizzing by me, nearly cutting off my big toe.  It surprised me because he came out of nowhere, but it was not particularly bothersome, he was like, 7.  It was apparently very bothersome to his mother who happened to be out there at the time, "Johnny (Bobby, whatever) come over here and apologize to...you guessed it...THIS MAN!"  That alone, not a big deal, but then I go to Publix where a nice little cashier girl asks, "Did you find everything you were looking for today sir?"  I haven't been knighted, I was born in the 80's, why all the man, sir, talk?  Are we as a society becoming more polite...no, have you driven in traffic lately?  What gives, can somebody please inform me when you become old now? 

So...

So...I had a request from a concerned citizen that by not having anything up on my blog since thanksgiving it appeared as if I had, to quote said citizen, "no life".  Many are aware that of course I have "a life" but sometimes it can be a pretty busy life.  This year so far has entailed me going to O-town to watch UGA put it on Mich St in the Citrus Bowl, good times.  Watch Matt Stafford and Knowshown Moreno both declare for the draft, bad times.  Feel like our church services are really picking up momentum and start to see anticipation as to what God might do, good times.  Have what I think are great community service ideas, and get no help from community, bad times.  Have other community service ideas that seem alright, and have community respond really well, good times.  Getting overloaded with school and my new class AP Environmental Science, bad times.  Get to hang out with Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr, Alabama, .38 Special, and Lynrd Skynrd, good times.  Have to do so at the funeral for Billy Powell, bad times.  Get told by parent schools need more teachers like me, good times.  Get sick for going on 5 days, and feel like I'm not doing much of anything except sleeping, bad times.  So...there is my first month an a half of the new year.  I blowing up my iron gym, I can do like 5 pull ups, whoohoo!  Hope all is well with you and yours

Our Trip to Madison

Over Thanksgiving break, Erin and I went to Madison, Ga, the #1 Small Town in America.  We also attended the UGA vs GT game, but that was not fun, per the score.  The city was very nice and it was enjoyable to get away from Jax for a few days.  We stayed at the James Madison Inn which was really nice.  It rained most of the time we were there, so that was a drag, but we got out and explored the town on Friday before the rain came that night.  Here are a couple pics, the rest are under Fall Vacation.

10 pm update

Ok, like I said a few hours ago, the election will be called by 10 pm, but unfortunately for us, as soon as the networks call the election their ratings will drop and everyone will go to bed and no one will get paid and all the people they brought in to talk haven't got a chance to talk yet.  So, instead of officially calling it so that I will be right they are saying things like, "nearly impossible" and "huge surprises" needed for McCain to win.  So, I will take credit for calling the election the earliest and for the record it was 5:45 EST. 

My prediction

So it's about 5:45 and I just got back from voting and I had to wait in line for 15 minutes to vote...so that influences my prediction.  I did get a free starbucks coffee for voting and even though Chic-Fil-A advertised a free chicken sandwich they were only giving away a large coke!  What the heck is that?  I think that Obama will win the election and the election will be called by 10 pm.  I think that Ohio and Pennsylvania go to Obama and that begins the way the rest of the night will go for McCain.  I also think he'll lose Colorado, but I have been wrong before, we'll see what happens.  Enjoy the coverage if you like that sort of thing!
